Japanese Chin
Ch. Chindales Frazier At Overlook joined us as a 6 month old puppy. He started his show career in January 2008
at 19 months of age, and finished his Championship quickly. Although still a young dog, he has done very well in
shows, having already won multiple Best of Breeds. Thank you to Vince Adams for trusting us with such a great
dog to show. We hope we make you proud!

JCCARE is a rescue organization for Japanese Chin. In 2007 we adopted two elderly Chin whose owner had died. These dogs had
previously been rescued from the streets of Detroit, where they ran wild. Their ages are not known, but they were at least 12 and 14
years old when we got them. Akira only lived with us for about 6 months before his arthritis and heart conditions worsened to the point
where he had difficulty moving around. Koji, now thought to be at least 14 still lives with us, showing no sign of slowing down, though his
heart murmur is worsening with age.
After taking in Akira and Koji, we became a foster home for JCCARE. Our foster dogs to date have been Papi, who was adopted
quickly, Takara who also was quickly adopted, and Sadie who has now been with us for quite a while. She was 8 years old when we
got her, but she has adapted well, and seems right at home with us while she waits to be adopted.

Papi is a very handsome Chin who was adopted
only 3 weeks after we began fostering him. He is
now a much-loved pet.
Sadie is a JCCARE foster Chin that came
and never left. She arrived when she was 8
years old, moved in and made herself right at
home. A year later we decided to make it
permanent and adopted her from JCCARE.
Akira on the left, and Koji on the right when they were much
younger, and recently rescued from the streets of Detroit.
Their rescue story can be read on the JCCARE website:

Takara was a very sweet dog that liked to
snuggle and be with people. She was very
quickly placed into a loving home.
